Established in 2010, Navigation Films in Dubai is our regional hub for local and international production.
Akash Kingston is our Head of Production here, managing a strong team with deep connections to local talent in the UAE, as well as further afield in UK and the US. This has enabled us to deliver a broad range of skills to feature films, documentaries, reality series and branded content.
Our facilitation work encompasses well known series from the US, UK, South Korea, China and Australia such as The Real Housewives of Dubai, The Amazing Race, Dubai Hustle, Next Top Model, Masterchef, The Bachelor, Million Dollar Listing, The Apprentice, Around the World in 80 Ways, The Running Man and Exploration of the World.
Our fully produced series and one-off documentaries for broadcast on networks such as National Geographic and Discovery are curated through the entire production process, from concept to rights clearance, insurance, permits, filming, scriptwriting, post-production, grade, sound design, QC and final delivery.
From complex live broadcasts such as Ras Al Khaimah’s Guinness World Record breaking NYE fireworks with multiple live drones, helicopter and remote cameras to highly complex productions such as the Emirates Expo film featuring stunt woman Nicole Smith-Ludvik on top of Burj Khalifa with an A380, Navigation Films is able to bring decades of experience to any filming.
In addition to highly experienced producers, directors, DOPs and editors in house, Navigation Films maintains core production equipment from cameras, lenses and lighting to sound and grip.
Case study
We’ve recently wrapped up facilitating several international series filmed in Dubai, including The Real Housewives of Dubai. Filming brought together a large team of local talent to work on the series for New York based production company Truly Original.
